Club History & Mission Statement Lebanon County Bass Anglers was formed on July 11, 1976 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The club originally known as the Lebanon County Bassmasters received its certification as a chapter of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society on August 12, 1976 making it the third oldest chapter in the state. Since then, the former PA Bass federation has disbanded and it's members have formed the TBF. The TBF is not a part of national B.A.S.S. and falls under it's own operating guidelines. The club voted to rename itself as the Lebanon County Bass Anglers so as not to infringe on the Bassmasters name which is copyrighted by B.A.S.S. Today the club has about 22 members who actively participate in club sponsored activities which include, but not limited to youth events, PENN D.O.T.'s Adopt-A-Highway program, conservation projects and local charitable events such as the "Toys for Tots" program sponsored by the Good Samaritan Hospital of Lebanon. The club donates financially as well as assists with the delivery of the toys in this most worthwhile event. Our former club President, Tom Tanner was a founding member, and the only member still active with the club since its inception. The purpose of this chapter is to stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport; to offer our state conservation departments our organized moral and political support and encouragement; to promote full adherence to all conservation codes and existing regulatory standards; to improve our skills as bass anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of expert bass catching techniques and ideas; to promote the ideas or good sportsmanship; to promote and encourage youth fishing and a love of this great recreation; to function as a dynamic effective link with other chapters embracing the principals and purposes of The Bass Federation (TBF). The Lebanon County Bass Anglers meet the first Sunday of the month at the American Legion Post 910 in Lickdale, PA Anyone interested in joining the club should feel free to attend. A membership to the club is required to participate in club activities, events or tournaments. Membership is limited to adults 16 years or older. The club also sponsors a youth club called the Lebanon County Jr. Bass Anglers. See their link for more information.
