PENNSYLVANIA BASS FEDERATION DISTRICT 3

CALL TO ORDER:   The meeting was called to order at 7:35 PM by Acting Chairman M. Sabbi.

ROLL CALL:   6 clubs were represented.

Your 2011 club representatives present:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:   By Tom Dellinger

• Copies of the July Secretary’s report were handed out.
• A motion to approve was made by Borderline. Seconded by Brandywine.

TREASURER’S REPORT:  By Ron Rook

• Copies of the Treasurer’s report were handed out.

CONSERVATION REPORT:   

• N/A

PUBLIC RELATIONS:   

• There are 496 members registered on the PA Bass website. Up 33 since July meeting.

YOUTH REPORT:  By Mike Sabbi

• Approximately (30+) invitations were sent to all “Reel Kids” event winners however only (7) competed at the Championship held at Cabela’s in Hamburg.
• Thanks to Cabela’s and the (8) volunteers that participated.
• Questions about the program moving foreword are anticipated in the future.

TOURNAMENT REPORT:  By Mike Sabbi

·        Congratulations to D-3 Angler of the Year Bill Barlow and Co- Angler of the Year Mike Burton.

• Representatives were asked to get feedback from club members about tournament sites for 2012.
• Preliminary results are as follows:
  •             Potomac @ 3rd weekend in April
  •             Eastern Regional on the Flats @ 3rd week of June    
  •             Flats day after Eastern Regional
  •                 Sunday July 15th Location TBA
  •      ·        It was suggested that D-3 get in contact with the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce to discuss the possible interest in supporting the 2012 PA Eastern Regional Tournament because of the economic impact brought to the area such as lodging, restaurants, fuel, etc.

·        Also suggested that D-3 look into the possibility of the Naughty Goose providing accommodations and eats at the Eastern Regional pre- tournament meeting and paring if selected as the tournament location.

OLD BUSINESS:

• New battery was purchased for the laptop.
• Discussion to purchase a second commercial grade canopy from Sports Authority.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Ray Caldwell & Mike Burton are working with Dear John organization for our Wounded Worriers.

• There was a discussion about alternative fundraiser ideas for 2012 if we were to cancel the D-3 spring flea market.

• Winner of the 50/50 was Dave Ciarletta
